Relationships (A.L.R.)
A Comical, Poignant Deep-Dive into the Architecture of the Soul.
Most people can’t fix a leaky faucet, let alone a multi-billion-dollar corporation. Allan L. Redmond (A.L.R.) can do the latter in his sleep. But as he stands on his 42nd-floor balcony at the stroke of midnight, he realizes his own life has the structural integrity of a “submarine with screen windows.”
Relationships: A.L.R. is a “Smart-Com” that bridges the gap between cynical corporate reality and intuitive spiritual healing. It follows Allan—a man who views his life as a “fart in a gale of wind”—as he navigates the wreckage of a disastrous divorce and an existential career crisis. His journey intersects with Alicia L. Running Bear (A.L.R.), an intuitive soul/trauma therapist who challenges his “Architect” brain to stop optimizing and start feeling.
Through a narrative roadmap of 26 chapters, readers follow Allan as he:
- Identifies the “Emotional Vampires” and “Functional Cannibals” draining his vital energy.
- Learns the “Oxygen Mask Rule” of self-preservation.
- Navigates the “Yellow Snow” of red flags in modern dating.
- Discovers the “Magic” in the spaces between the notes of a duplicitous life.
This is not just a story about a breakup; it is a guidebook for anyone who has ever felt “drawn and quartered” by life’s expectations. It offers a clear, hard-won, and occasionally humorous, path to the only destination that matters: a life where you finally feel Appreciated, Loved, and Respected.
